External Examiners Database Project

CEBE is hosting a database of both current and potential external examiners in the Built Environment disciplines. The database will initially be restricted to Building and Surveying programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, although we intend to extend this to all of the disciplines that are represented by CEBE in the Higher Education Academy.

This is a service to UK departments only. The database includes email addresses and is available in a password-protected area of this site. Passwords will be sent to Heads of Department/Schools of the Built Environment and external examiners/potential external examiners in the database.

The purposes of the database are as follows:

  • To build a network of external examiners to whom we can offer support, especially as that role changes to include more input into programme design and quality enhancement.
  • To make it easier for departments and schools to find external examiners
  • To assist those who would like to become external examiners

Under the Data Protection Act, we can only build this database by people putting forward their own details.
