CEBE Working Paper Series ISSN 1774-9847

Introduction

What is a CEBE Working Paper?

CEBE Working Papers provide a means of rapidly disseminating substantial contributions to knowledge about learning and teaching in Built Environment fields. They lie somewhere between ephemeral reports and refereed journal articles and will have something approaching the substance of a journal paper but will be less polished. In some cases, early drafts of papers that are eventually published within journals will be considered as Working Papers, especially where they elaborate on issues in a way that journal papers cannot due to space restrictions. Alternatively, Working Papers might also have something approaching the detail and focus of a project report but would be less concerned with reporting project-specific process and procedure.

The key requirement for a CEBE Working Paper is that it makes a concise and authoritative statement about a well defined issue within the Built Environment.

This may be in the form of a report arising from an educational development project, an annotated bibliography, literature review, think-piece, policy review, practice review, theoretical review, or an extended case study.
